Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what limited information the mobile application Reverse Image and Photo Search (the “App”) handles, and how. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
The App is a tool that lets you search for an image using publicly available search engines (such as Google, Yandex, and Bing). We do not run our own image database. We collect only the minimum information needed for the App to work, and we do not sell your data.
1. What We Handle
Images you submit. When you start a search or request image analysis, your image is sent to our server in encrypted form and processed only as needed to query publicly available third-party search engines and generate the requested automated analysis. This analysis may include an estimate of whether the image appears AI-generated or manipulated, a confidence score, and a predicted label or description of objects or other content depicted in the image. We do not save or retain submitted images. They are processed only transiently, automatically discarded within 15 seconds, and are never added to our database, indexed, backed up, or sold. We do not use submitted images to train models.
Automated analysis results. The App may generate predicted labels, descriptions, and confidence scores from an image you submit. These outputs are probabilistic estimates, may be incomplete or incorrect, and do not establish that an image is authentic, manipulated, AI-generated, or that it depicts any particular object, person, or event. We do not use these outputs to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.
Alerts. Alerts and their settings operate entirely on your device. Images, image fingerprints, alert settings, and alert activity are not sent to us or stored on our servers.
Product analytics (Amplitude). We use Amplitude, a third-party product analytics provider, to understand how the App is used and improve its features and reliability. Depending on our SDK configuration, Amplitude may receive interaction events such as app launches, screen views, taps, feature usage, and session information, together with a device identifier, app version, device model, operating-system version, language, and IP address. The IP address may be used to derive an approximate country, region, or city. We do not send submitted images, image-search contents, automated analysis results, confidence scores, or object labels to Amplitude. Amplitude processes this information on our behalf in accordance with its Privacy Notice.
Subscription data. Purchases are handled by Apple. We only see what we need to verify your subscription (transaction ID, product). We never see your card details or Apple ID password.
Support. If you email support@findwho.app, we receive your message and email address so we can respond.
2. What We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, extract, or store biometric identifiers, faceprints, facial geometry, fingerprints, or any similar biometric data within the meaning of the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), the Texas CUBI Act, Article 9 of the EU GDPR, or any similar law.
If the App needs to check whether an image contains a face before searching, that check happens entirely on your device and produces only a binary result (face present or not). No biometric measurements, templates, or geometry leave your device.
We also do not collect contact lists, precise location, browsing history, or any photo-library content beyond images you submit.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information above to run searches, provide requested automated image analysis, measure feature usage, understand aggregate usage patterns, fix bugs, prevent abuse, manage subscriptions, respond to support, and improve the App. We do not use your data for automated decisions that have legal effects on you.
4. Search Sources
Search results come from publicly available, third-party general-purpose search engines (such as Google, Yandex, Bing, and similar services) and other openly accessible Internet sources.
The App does not maintain or rely on any private, proprietary, biometric, or facial-recognition database. It is a tool that queries public search engines on your behalf and shows you what they return. We do not control those results and are not responsible for their accuracy, legality, or content.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We use a small number of third-party service providers for product analytics (including Amplitude), crash reporting, subscription verification, and cloud hosting. They process only the limited data needed to provide their services to us and are subject to applicable contractual and security obligations.
Separately, when you request an image search, the submitted image is transmitted as necessary to publicly available third-party search engines, primarily Google Images and potentially similar services, to obtain search results. Their handling of the search request is governed by their applicable terms and privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information or submitted images.
6. Children
The App is rated 4+ and intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country) without parental consent. If you are a parent and believe we have, email support@findwho.app and we will delete it.
7. Security and Data Location
We use standard encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate. No system is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Your data may be processed in countries other than your own.
8. Territorial Scope
The App is offered only where it is available on the Apple App Store. If it is not available in your country’s App Store, we do not offer the Service to you.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (EEA, UK, California, and other regions), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data, or to withdraw consent. Email support@findwho.app to exercise them. You can stop future collection through the App by uninstalling it. Where an analytics control is available in the App, you may also use it to disable future analytics collection.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy. The new version will show a new Effective Date. Continued use of the App after that means you accept the updated Policy.
